Sure, we’ve all seen our fair share of art walks at this point, but when you call it an “art crawl,” it automatically seems a little hipper, right? Such is the case with the Art Crawl Experience—ACE, if you will—in downtown Anaheim, which combines all the familiar trappings of outdoor events (live music, DJs, food trucks) with, y’know, art. Rothick Art Haus is celebrating the opening of “Raised On the Ranch,” a new exhibition featuring, among others, local painter Ron Pete. His candy-colored acrylics range from the playfully nostalgic (“My Pet Pez,” combining a dog with the iconic sugary treat) to the absurdly grotesque (“Shit Pie,” exactly what it sounds like).
