Shes a 4-year-old with psych issues; hes her imaginary friend with a coke problem. Together, theyre the main duo of Noah Haidles twisted, darkly comical Mr. Marmalade. When the play debuted off-Broadway in 2005, Mr. Marmalade (then-played by the excellent Michael C. Hall) sent nervous ripples of laughter across the theater scene, leaving critics either hating or loving the story of wise-beyond-her-years Lucy and her toxically co-dependent relationship with the porn-loving, abusive figment of her young imagination.
