Lending a hand to the armada of charitable contributions going to the Japanese tsunami relief, GOT-OC—a social group started by Irvine’s Larry Morgia, who attended college in Japan—presents OC (Hearts) Japan, a fundraising concert at the House of Blues. The lineup includes Japanese Beatles tribute band the Mockers and the luminous Jennifer Kumiyama, a singer at Disney’s California Adventure and Ms. Wheelchair California 2010, as well as One Hot Mess, Soul Identity and Tini Grey. Morgia hopes to raise $10,000 to aid the relief effort—or at least send a message to the people of Japan to let them know they are in our hearts. Special surprise guests are rumored to attend, so see who shows up and donate to a very, very worthy cause. All net proceeds go to the American Red Cross.
