More About

Forty years ago, the Doors released L.A. Woman, their sixth and final studio album recorded with notorious poet/provocateur Jim Morrison. Bluesier than its predecessors, the collection returned critical acclaim to the beleaguered band in the wake of their infamous Miami concert. Songs such as “Riders On the Storm” and “Love Her Madly” had the Doors clamoring to hit the road, but those plans would forever be unfulfilled: Morrison, living in Paris, met his untimely fate, lying lifeless in a bathtub just a few months after the album’s release. In honor of L.A. Woman’s 40th anniversary, Classic Albums Live has assembled top-notch musicians to re-create the experience note for note, song for song. It will be a night in which the audience will undoubtedly painstakingly ponder what might have been.
