If you're thinking Minnesota's primary export is snow, take a listen to Tapes 'N Tapes. With a vintage indie sound featuring tremolo-infused guitars and rockabilly-style percussion, these dudes from the land of the Vikings have a surprisingly warm sound. And with three albums under their belt, they manage to meander and genre hop ever so subtly, vacillating between fuzzy garage-rock squalls to full-blown rock-crescendo orgasms. Check 'em out.
