Plenty of famous standup comedians have headlined the Irvine Improv—but this time around, the comedy club is host to a competition among homegrown, invite-only comedians battling for the title of Funniest In Orange County. With help from special guest host Nick Guerra, 10 of the top comedians on the local circuit will compete, such as Celeste Davis, Jim Taylor, Barry Weisenberg, Vince Harper and Cindy Burns. Previous winners of the competition include Chris Strait (The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest series) and Jennifer Murphy (Last Comic Standing). Darryl Blackshere, known for his appearances on Def Comedy Jam and Showtime, will host the March 29 finals.
