Nearly a century before tomes such as Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus and cinematic gems such as The Truth about Cats and Dogs, Mark Twain was tackling the battle of the sexes in ways rarely approached since. Between 1893 and 1905, Twain published two books on the universes storied original inhabitants: first came Adams diary, then Eves. Now, thanks to the efforts of actor/director David Birney, the world is blessed with Mark Twains The Diaries of Adam and Eve. Adapted in 2003, this play features observations told through the eyes of Adam such as This new creature with the long hair is a good deal in the way. . . .
