Greg Behrendt is more than just the He’s Just Not That Into You guy. Sure, that book, which he co-wrote in 2004, got him the most attention of his career and was made into a fictionalized film adaptation in 2009, but he’s had a bustling career in standup comedy for years, somewhat of an odd juxtaposition to his self-help-writing gigs. He also has hosted a couple of daytime talk shows—but both fizzled out quickly. Okay, maybe Behrendt is, at least partially, the He’s Just Not That Into You guy—but given its spin-offs (he wrote It’s Called a Breakup Because It’s Broken with, of all people, his wife) and continued influence, perhaps that’s not such a bad thing.
