Laguna Beach has always been known for producing a thriving crop of artists amongst its mini-mansions and ocean views—now the Laguna Art Museum pays homage to one of the city’s most renowned. John Paul Jones was a renaissance man in the art community—he excelled at everything from painting and sculpture to printmaking and teaching. In fact, he was so successful early in his career, in 1962 he scored a feature article in Time magazine following an impressive first decade of work (Jones provided nearly 30 one-person exhibits to galleries and museums across the country during that relatively short time). Don’t miss this opportunity to bask in the works of an amazing local artist.
