Bike Messenger Project Opening Reception

Memphis Cafe

The underground subculture of bike messengers is apparently a difficult one to crack—photographer Bruce Hershey explains that those in the cycling courier business “seldom trust other people,” though they all seem to know one another. Who knew the field of delivering packages via fixie would be so arcane—is it a case of hipster elitism or simply social anxiety?
