DREAM Act Supporters Keep Fighting
From Santa Ana to Texas to Capitol Hill, OC residents prove among the most prominent advocates of the DREAM Act
But it’s precisely this rhetoric in their home base that makes Orange County Dreamers so ready to fight, says Dream Team co-chairperson Vanessa Castillo.
“We know what kind of battlefield we live in,” she says. “Living in OC and being aware of all the racism motivates me to do more. . . . Whether it passes or doesn’t, the work doesn’t stop. There are students who still won’t qualify.”
