It's Tuesday night. You've made it through the horror of Monday but still stare down the barrel of a long work week. It's time to release some of those resulting pent up emotions. Head over to the Glass House and check out The Sleeping.Part of Victory Record's stable of artists once home to such emo-tastic luminaries as Taking Back Sunday. While The Sleeping shares plenty in common with TBS including strained, lamenting vocals and dynamic crunchy guitars interspersed with echoing guitar melodies it's The Sleeping's drummer Joe Zizzo who separates this band from the heard. Rocking finesse at times delicate, at times heavy, Zizzo plays with a speed reminiscent of a heart in arrhythmia.It's kind of amazing, and should make you forget about the three days you have left stuck at a desk.
