It’s a statement as true now as when it was first uttered: haters gonna hate. Seldom has that phrase seemed more apt than in the curious case of 16-year-old pop superstar Justin Bieber, whose continued success and legion of loyal Twitter followers inexplicably confounds people far outside the target demographic. Just look at the widespread online schadenfreude after Biebs got hit by a water bottle on stage a couple of months ago. It’s OK, though. You can admit that you’re simply jealous that when you were his age, you were buying Oxy 10 in bulk while he’s selling out arenas, romantically linked with every teen star in Hollywood and collaborating with Kanye West. (We’ll admit that you may have had a better haircut.)
