You've got to love the experimental spirit of Japanese musicians. Somehow they manage to mine the signature aspects of popular American music from its vintage era to the modern day but always with a charm that bears the one of a kind stamp of an outsider's perspective. Dig Tokyo band Both Cheese. Whether they're riffing on a bluesy groove or the Bo Diddley beat, their enthusiasm breathes new life into a well-worn art form. They even manage to switch things up with some funk in the jam "Superfunkoriasticsexy."
