Anyone that Lewis Black calls the “funniest woman in America” is sure to have some serious comedic chops. With wry wit, sharply hysterical political commentary (complete with pretty decent impersonations), Kathleen Madigan takes over the Grove of Anaheim this week. Along with the success of her comedy album debut, In Other Words, Madigan has enjoyed multiple appearances on both The Tonight Show and Late Show, plus her own Comedy Central and HBO specials—and after completing a USO tour of Afghanistan and Iraq, she was recently brave enough to face the ladies on The View. Catch her one-night-only local performance before she hits the seas with the caustic Black for “Lew’s Cruise,” a comedy cruise through the Caribbean this November. No joke.
