It’s not often that you can drink and help an important cause at the same time. But in remembrance of Sept. 11, spend the afternoon supporting your local firefighters—and by drinking beer at the OC Brew Ha Ha. More than 50 breweries—including Bootlegger’s Brewery, Haven Gastropub, and The Bruery—are gathering to serve samples of their custom craft beers, and a portion of the proceeds will go the Fallen Firefighters Relief Fund. Admission gets you a commemorative festival glass and 10 4-ounce pours (of course, more samplings can be purchased). Attend the beer tasting seminars lead by certified cicerones, and you may also learn a thing or two. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that some of the beer will be poured by hunky, off-duty firefighters. Cheers to that!
