If you dig the musical sensibility of Jason Mraz even while disembodied from that adorable lop-sided smile, then listening to Justin Nozuka should feel as pleasant as diving head-first into a pool of marshmallow Peeps. Equipped with the voice of an angel and an acoustic guitar, his putty-rendering abilities are highly developed and (unlike most pop artists) not limited to the demographic of tenderhearted females ages 13 to 35. Lending force to Nozuka’s nation-wide tour is Carribean-born Alex Cuba whose sugarcane-sweet melodies are a potent cocktail of Latin soul and eclectic musical influences.
