The greatest moment of 1963’s Dr. No isn’t watching voluptuous Bond girl Honey Rider standing half naked on a Jamaican beach, it’s watching Sean Connery go absolutely ape shit when killing a small spider sent by assassins to kill him (rumor has it the legendary thespian was arachnophobic). Calypso sounds mingle with island locales as history’s greatest spy battles an egomaniacal super-villian with some freaky-ass bionic hands. Prior to the flick, the Fox Theatre will be presenting a menagerie of young women competing for the title of Bond Girl. This 18+ event is open to the public, but only the sexy, resourceful and sophisticated will survive. The winner will be chosen based on the quality of her costume, props and, of course, the most clever Bond-themed name. Sorry dudes, only ladies can enter so you’ll be relegated to watching the event. We’re sure for most of you, that won’t be an issue.
