There’s a lot of turmoil currently brewing behind the scenes of American Idol—with Simon Cowell out for sure as a judge, Ellen DeGeneres just quit, and Kara DioGuardi looks like she might be next (shocking!). But none of that plays into the American Idol show currently touring the country. It’s the usual annual parade of the previous season’s top 10 finalists—this time around includes dreadlocked runner-up Crystal Bowersox and first-placer Lee DeWyze, the third consecutive piece in the “generic alternative rock dude American Idol winner” trilogy (along with David Cook and Kris Allen). This is probably the last and only chance some of these folks will have to perform at a venue of this size, so if you happen to be a big Didi Benami fan, you might want to think about tickets.
