Named for Johnny Thunders’ 1978 album, So Alone is the story of the former New York Dolls frontman’s catapult to success, battle with drugs and the ultimate demise that led to his untimely death. Written by William Mittler and originally performed in 1995, So Alone is a theatrical concert to celebrate the musician’s life, and this special reunion show will feature original performers Robert Dean Nunez, KC Mercer, Matthew Tully, Ron McCamey, Tracy Marquis and many others. Though Johnny Thunders passed away in 1991, the power of his music still holds strong over a multitude of fans—those who love the New York Dolls, the Heartbreakers or his solo material, and even enthusiasts of rock musical theater. So Alone—The Reunion Concert will feature the songs from the show with the original band members. This much anticipated reunion is going to be a sure hit of the season. The band members and vocalists will include: Robert Dean Nunez, K.C. Mercer, Matthew Tully, Ron McCamey, Tracy Marquis, Kris Swanson, David Toyos, Johnny Greco, Amy Bloom, Anna Faris, Tiina Wiles, Teresa Carillo.
Aug. 6-7, 8 p.m.; Sun., Aug. 8, 6 p.m., 2010
