There wasn’t a lot of love floating around in Vietnam during the ‘60s and ‘70s, but somehow Helen Adams, the protagonist of Tatjana Soli’s debut novel The Lotus Eaters, managed to find that love. (With two men, no less! Way to go!) A prolific short story writer whose work has appeared in numerous publications, Soli is presenting her book as part of the Newport Beach Library Foundation’s Library Live series—a program that, since 1995, has had dozens of notable authors speak to OC literature lovers. Audience members can participate in a Q&A session with the author after she gives a short lecture on the themes and implications of her story.
