Blue Demon may or may not be the son of the original Blue Demon, another Mexican folk hero and contemporary of El Santo. The 43-year-old who dons the azul mask and calls himself Blue Demon claims he was adopted by Alejandro Muñoz Moreno, who died in 2000. Alfredo Muñoz, the biological son of the original Blue Demon, says that isn’t true. Whatever the case, this Blue Demon is a great wrestler in his own right, as evidenced by his 2008 victory in the National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championship, when he became the first masked luchador to win the title. He held onto the belt for 505 days, losing it this past March. Lucha Libre, Aug. 14-15, 8 p.m. $20.
