The Sheckler foundation (started by Ryan Sheckler. You know, that skateboarding kid from MTV) really hits a home run this week as they team up with etnies and uber-charity Make a Wish for the first ever Skate for a Cause. Held at the etnies Skate Park in Lake Forest, the event will have scores of family-friendly yet totally bad-ass activities like skate demos, a skateboard carnival village filled with vendors hawking all kinds of awesome stuff, and perhaps the most anticipated event, a “Best Trick Competition” between the pro-skaters scheduled to attend—which happens to be about 30, including Sheckler himself.
