In 2007, UC Irvines Hip Hop Congress (HCC) joined the Associated Students of University of California Irvine (ASUCI) to bring together young talents of one of this generations unique cultures through multiple arts mediumswhich included graffiti displays, break-dancing, and free-style competitions. Blackalicious, two Oakland musicians who collaborate their mastermind rhymes and beats, were a huge success at UCIs Urban Arts Festival back in 07and now, three years later, HCC and ASUCI are ready to do it again with live performances by Zion I and Aloe Blacc. This years festival will have turntables open to the public as well as MCs for some entertaining free-verse.
