Ok, bad news first: Aushua lead singer Nathan Gammills voice bears more than a passing resemblance to Bonos. But who cares? In the end, hes not quite Bonos vocal doppleganger, and the rest of the bands sound is solidsort of a Broken Social Scene meets the Killers. Gammill even successfully fleshes out his already sonorous crooning with augmented choral arraignments in the spirit of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zerosthus lending the music a triumphant victory lap quality. And as an added bonus, the band hails from right here in the heart of Orange County. Its the classic story of the hometown band making good. So check them out, and fill your ears with the sweet sounds of victory.
