Men in tights take over the Carpenter Center this weekend with the widely-acclaimed, consistently sold-out Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. What separates this ballet troupe, or the “Trocks,” from other comedy drag shows is, while this is no serious dance performance, there is some serious talent sashaying across the stage. The reason these men are able to pull off such successfully hysterical satire is the fact that they can perform the dance so well, whether pretending to blunder or excelling at graceful moves and twirls. The chest hair and tu-tus just make it that much campier.
