Golden-year’s broads (like your mom) just love those little “women can do everything” quips—and the title of this show is taken directly from one of the most popular: that Ginger Rogers (a woman) did every darn thing Fred Astaire (a man) did. Plus, she did it backward and in high heels. Yes, you’ve seen the T-shirt. But, this ain’t no crazy feminist musical—or is it? A long overdue look at Hollywood’s golden girl and the prettier half of America’s dancing sweethearts, this story points out that Ginger was the first gal to get equal pay to men and dives into the driving force behind her career: her mother. Sounds like the perfect female bonding experience.
