Music and art have always gone hand-in-hand, but they really come crashing together in the Hibbletons newest exhibit. The concept behind Shuffle: Interpreting Music Into Visual Art, a Collaborative Playlist is wonderfully genre-hopping: 15 artists take their interpretations of a song of their choosing, then paint, draw, glue-gun, bedazzle or whatever that image onto a format resembling a vinyl record or CD. The result is a patchwork of artful squares with names such as It Could Be Sweet (Portishead), First Day of My Life (Bright Eyes), Back Like That (Ghostface Killah) and Delicate (Damien Rice). Music lovers will find the Shuffle opening reception to be a perfectly sweet event to start their Valentines weekend.
