President, artistic director and resident lecturer of the Philharmonic Society of Orange County Dean Corey celebrates these and other famous composers from the Romantic Era who reached a milestone birth or death anniversary this year (Chopin, for example, was born 200 years ago). The night includes a discussion of the composers’ lives and works, as well as the correlation between their masterpieces and those of other famous contemporaries—and culminates with delicious wine tasting and, perhaps, a new fascination with classical music.
