When asked to describe his comedic style, Alonzo Bodden responds that it’s “cynically good-natured—in an angry, suburban Negro kind of way.” Intrigued? You should be. Bodden’s sharp, witty humor playfully dances on the line between “I can’t believe that asshole just said that” and “isn’t he charming?” Taking jabs at politics, sex and race (especially race), Bodden has a knack for lively, intelligent comedy—which helped him win the crown at Last Comic Standing Season 3 ; nab a couple of movie roles; and land a gig hosting the Travel Channel’s upcoming Streets of America: The Search for America’s Worst Driver , in which losing contestants have to watch as their car is destroyed. Now isn’t that funny?
