USA Today praised the Tony-nominated The Wedding Singer for its "heart and humor." Based on the hit movie, the musical features a wannabe Rock star who has made a name for himself as New Jersey's favorite wedding-reception entertainer. However, after he is left at the altar, the depressed Robbie casts a damper on every event until he meets a sweet waitress, Julia, who inspires him to move on. Unfortunately, she is engaged to be married and Robbie must now pull off the performance of his life to win her over.
