Two things changed Joe Sibs life: Becoming a member of the Winchester Skateboard Park and hearing Black Flags Jealous Again for the first time. Growing up in California during the early 80s, Sibs teenage years were during the throes of a punk rock revolution. Its not surprising then that he would have countless stories of his punk rock youth, resulting in California Calling, a night of storytelling and music. This event will also feature an acoustic set by some of punk rocks best, including Steve Soto of the Adolescents (whose having a very busy week), Jay Bentley of Bad Religion, Mike Roche of TSOL and Randy Bradbury of Pennywise. Now the co-owner of independent label Side One Dummy Records, Sib is giving back, with all proceeds from the event benefitting nonprofit UCP Wheels For Humanity.
