Taxi Driver screening with Harry Ufland Q&A

Marion Knott Studios

By ERIN DEWITT

Published on November 05, 2009 at 2:40am

Of all the Martin Scorsese films to dance across the silver screen, 1976’s gritty drama Taxi Driverstands out as one of, possibly the, best movies of the director’s career thus far. Nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Original Score, Taxi Driver was a triumph in the world of cinematic art—a highly acclaimed film filled with the kind of subject matter that could turned a censor’s hair white. Robert DeNiro played a deranged cab driver who, disgusted by the low-lifes he chauffeurs, decides to murder a Senator—but not before befriending a child prostitute. A special screening of this very special film will be shown at the Marion Knott Studios in Orange, complete with a question-and-answer session by an incredibly special guest: Harry Ufland, a producer and agent who represented both Scorsese and DeNiro.
