Night of the Living Dead & Zombie Walk

Art Theatre

Night of the Living Dead star Judith “Barbra” O’Dea will be a legend in horror film history for eternity—even though she earned about enough to buy a Big Mac from making the film (George Romero never copyrighted it). And ever since the groundbreaking ghoulie movie debuted in 1968 (a black man and a white woman fighting off zombies? Together?! ), midnight macabrers have been flocking to see Barbra taken away by her creepy brother (both pre- and post-zombie bite) time and again. Don’t forget to do the famed Zombie Walk down 4th St. before the film, joined by a horde of wannabe brain-eaters. But please, have respect —no “Thriller” moves. Night of the Living Dead and Zombie Walk at the Art Theatre, 2025 E. 4th St., Long Beach, (562) 438-5435; www.arttheatrelongbeach.com. 11:30p.m. $10. Zombie Walk meets at Portfolio Café, 2300 E. 4th St., Long Beach, 10:30 p.m.
Fri., Oct. 30, 10:30 p.m., 2009
