Happy Drunken Halloween

The Prospector

By CHRIS ZIEGLER

Published on October 29, 2009 at 2:40am

Halloween is the night when everybody gets to be somebody else, and in Long Beach that means it’s time for the annual Prospector incognito show, this year featuring the Valley Arena performing as the Misfits—a role Warren and co. inhabit completely. They’ll be supported by the Commotions as the B-52’s, a switch which demands only minor hair adjustments, and Gestapo Khazi as the Dead Kennedys, which is a completely and admirable natural transformation. There’s also a costume contest—ideally to be judged by the honorable folks behind the bar—and prizes which will ideally also come from behind the bar. It’s a classic Long Beach night out.
