David Sedaris

Irvine Barclay Theatre

By STACY DAVIES

Published on October 22, 2009 at 2:41am

Grammy-nominated and über-hysterical humorist David Sedaris brings his self-deprecating autobiographies about his middle-class rearing and multitude of odd-jobs (before Ira Glass discovered him) to Irvine for an evening that’s sucking in fans by the droves—which is why the show is already sold out, so we hope you either got a ticket or know a scalper with discerning taste. Of course, some of us long for the day he’ll appear alongside his even funnier sister, Amy “Jerri Blank” Sedaris of Strangers with Candy fame—but for now, David and all of his witty ruminations will suffice.
