A poet, a musician, a scholar; Charles Harper Webb is a creative and intellectual force to be reckoned with. As a teenager, he possessed enough talent to play guitar and sing professionally, then went on to work the band circuit while acquiring a Bachelors and Masters degree. After grad school, he went on tour while simultaneously editing literary magazine Madrona and getting his poems published all over the placeeven landing the 1978 Wormwood Review Award for his very first collection. Then came another Masters degree, a Doctorate, a novel-turned-screenplay, a fellowship from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Samuel French Morse Poetry Prize, and scores more awards and accolades.
