Greece is the birthplace, among other things, of democracy, the Olympic Games, Western philosophy/drama/literature/historiography, political science and major scientific and mathematical principles—in fact, just about everything but the Internet and rap. You can pay your respects to the cradle of Western civilization while slurping Greek and California wines and noshing on loucaniko, spanakopita, baklava and other ethnic delights at the 31st “A Taste of Greece” annual festival. Hosted by OC’s largest Greek Orthodox congregation, there’ll be live music, authentic dance, carnival rides, boutique booths, games and much more. So go drink, sing, dance and unleash your inner Zorba.
