Los Angeles-based '80s New Wave revival act the Spazmatics have been playing regular gigs at the Shore Ultra Lounge in Long Beach for some time. Now, they've got a Friday-night residency at Sutra. Their shtick: Weird Science-level nerdiness -- which is funny, since they seem to be playing the swankiest places around.
