Speed Dating

Strike Orange County

By Mark Miller

Published on September 10, 2009 at 2:40am

Speed dating can be potentially terrifying or hilarious, depending on your tolerance for oddballs of the opposite sex (see: speed dating scene from The 40 Year Old Virgin). However, there is hope. By chatting it up with a large number of people in the same night, the idea is that you’re increasing your potential to find someone you click with. Speed dating is perfect for people tired of prolonged and painful first dates—the awkwardness only lasts a few minutes. This particular event will be held at Strike Orange County, which happens to be a bowling alley. It’s good news, because if you do find that special someone, the question of “what to do on a first date” is already taken care of.
