The best way to diffuse an uncomfortable situation is with humor. For far too long, “The Change” has been a hush-hush subject among women. Well, it’s time to get over it. Menopause is a natural stage of life, and like all stages of life, welcomed or otherwise, it deserved to be poked fun at. And sang about. Preferably on stage. Menopause the Musical, the story of four women discovering they share a common nuisance and ultimately find sisterhood, has traveled the world, bringing song and dance to this universal subject. Now at the Laguna Playhouse, women (and men, though we doubt many will attend. This is a chick thing.) can all laugh together about what a bitch hot flashes are. Note: The theater will be air-conditioned.
