When Jack White announced he was forming a new band—yes, after a gazillion albums with the White Stripes and a couple with the Raconteurs—the assumption was that the new group would kind of... suck. After all, the guy’s gotta burn out at some point. But now it’s clear we’d all forgotten something very important: Jack White doesn’t do things that suck (remember that video he did with the Legos?). And so, his new collaboration with Alison Mosshart of the Kills yielded an album that, in the words of the Los Angeles Times, consists of “mountains of chest-rattling primal rock designed to reassert the elemental power of the four-piece rock group.” Translation: This concert will, most certainly, not suck.
