Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl: Home Sweet Home

Discovery Science Center

Published on June 25, 2009 at 2:40am

Long before “going green” became so popular (necessary, yes, but still obnoxiously trendy), a big bear in a ranger hat had been telling children for years to take car of our planet’s trees and forests. Bring the kids to the Discovery Science Center for their “Home Sweet Home” exhibit where they can join Smokey and Woodsy Owl and learn how to protect Earth’s precious ecosystems. Learning-made-fun topics include water conservation, fire safety and urban and natural forest protection.
