Now in its 43rd year, Laguna’s summer artisan festival is as enticing as ever. Set amid a woody backdrop, almost 200 local artists offer unique collectables in hand-blown and fused glass, jewelry, ceramics, wood, metal sculpture, photography and a heap of genre-inspired paintings (check out the surf art!). It’s a cheap way to get creative, too: try your hand at the ceramics booth, blow some glass and don’t forget to get that legendary toe ring. Live bands playing folk, rock, pop and even electric violin set the mood while you drink Sawdust Saloon beer, wine or soda, and chow down on excellent taquitos, pitas and baklava. All this for $7.50. Who said you can’t get a deal anymore?
