Things That Kill

World Gallery

By Amanda Parsons

Published on June 11, 2009 at 2:42am

t's hard to believe that the whimsical big-eyed creatures, big breasted women and bright colors of Chad Carothers' art would be considered in an exhibit titled "Things That Kill..."but that's exactly where you'll find them. By teaming his light hearted work with the delightful images of zombies, devils, sea monsters and cigarette smoking dames of Paul Frank bicycle designer Alex Funderburk, these OC artists have created a collaboration featuring unique, bright and enticing pieces showcasing the playful side of danger. Take in this offbeat art show at Costa Mesa's World Gallery, and pack a weapon.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m. Starts: June 2. Continues through June 27, 2009
