Then, this weekend, your presence is practically mandatory at the Queen Mary as The Middle Eastern Culture and Dance Association (MECDA) holds its 9th annual fund raiser, Cairo Caravan. Featuring free belly dance classes as well as several paid workshops (“Sinuous Serpentine Stylizations!”), vendors, food, plenty of fun and spectacular live performances—including one by MECDA Vice President and international dance star, Atlantis, known for her Belly Dancer of the Universe competitions.
