Mikimoto Trunk Show

Mikimoto South Coast Plaza

Published on June 04, 2009 at 2:41am

Every woman should have a pearl necklace, especially in Orange County—they’re practically a conservative staple. And when it comes to nice pearls, Mikimoto is the cream of the crop. They’re the world’s finest cultured pearls, mastering in the production of both the elusive black and silver lipped varieties. Too bad they’re so friggin’ expensive. But, oh how fun it can be to try them on—and free of charge, too. That’s why all of the county’s tight-walleted ladies with an eye for the finer things will be attending the Mikimoto Trunk Show at South Coast Plaza this Friday, where designer Lisa Broggian will present the newest collection of these South Sea pearls set into jewelry direct from Italy (it’s called the Milano Collection—swoon!) strictly for your viewing enjoyment. The collection includes pendants, earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets set in 18K yellow, rose or white gold and features precious gems. Go there, try some on and dream about the day you’ll get to marry that wealthy bachelor who’ll buy you a few jewels of your own, at the small price of your dignity.
