Lets face it: we’re all obsessed with celebrity gossip. That’s why newspapers are folding left and right while gossip rags are still as lively as ever. The escapades of celebutants and their hangers-on give us all something to discuss over our morning coffee without walking onto the dangerous politics/religion minefield. Celebrities’ lives provide vanilla gossip—a veritable “green zone” of social commentary—and no one tackles these gripping issues with more humor or insightfulness than Kathy Griffin. The funniest redhead since Lucille Ball, this candid comedian first sprung into our hearts with her bit part in ‘90s sitcom Suddenly Susan and became a staple on our televisions with her Bravo! reality show My Life On the D-List (which has won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program two years running). Watch her do live stand-up this Saturday at Orange County Performing Arts Center—an A-list venue for the mockery of A-listers.
