It’s a Parrothead’s favorite time of year: Jimmy Buffett is in town! This concert marks the ultimate summer blowout; the preshow party alone is worth the ticket price. RVs as far as the eye can see form mini-Buffettlands. Rum flows like water. The air is perfumed with the smell of barbecue. All things Buffett are embraced, as thousands of fans gather for a day of excess and merrymaking. Then, as the sun begins to set, everyone stumbles into the amphitheater to hear the man himself, one of the highest-earning entertainers, sing “Cheeseburger In Paradise,” “Son of a Son of a Sailor” and “Why Don’t We Get Drunk.”
