You might know him from his work as a front man for country band the Mavericks (remember "What a Crying Shame," "O What a Thrill" and "Here Comes the Rain"?) or as a member of the Los Super Seven, but Raul Malo has been making a name for himself as a solo artist since the early 2000s. His voice is oft-compared to that of late crooner Roy Orbison's—which makes sense since critics everywhere are comparing Malo's work to the likes of Elvis, Merle Haggard and Buck Owens—and he just released his first album of original material in seven years just this month. Now pair that legacy with the legacy of Shelby Lynne's—anybody likened with "blue-eyed soul" singer Dusty Springfield is okay in our book—and you've got yourself a real show. And all conveniently at the House of Mouse.
